These are Catholic high schools in the state of New York which were once in operation, but were closed. Some are from the very early part of the 20th Century or even the late 19th Century. Click on the name of the school for details. As possible, we have listed the schools by Diocese.

Do you have any information, photos, articles, memorabilia regarding Catholic high schools in the United States? It would be great to add it to this collection. No need to send originals, photocopies or scans are fine. E-mail here.

School of the Holy Child Suffern, NY

From Pat Wilson-Perkins Class of 1971:

The School of the Holy Child Jesus in Suffern, NY was closed on June 2nd, 1971. (Graduation was always the first Wednesday in June.) I know this because as Patricia Josette Wilson, I was the last graduate and the last of the 3 Wilson sisters to graduate. I had attended Holy Child Suffern from 8th Grade (with 8 students in my 8th grade class) until I graduated in June 1971. I was a Boarder. About 3/4 of the students were Boarders and 1/4 were day students or dayhops.
